The Most Important Questions to Ask at an RV Show
As RV shows make their way around the country and the ones near us start to ramp up, you’ll want to be ready to make the most of the experience. You’ll be around experts, manufacturer representatives, and fellow RVers, all of whom you can learn a little something from.
That’s why Pete’s RV Center Indiana has provided some sample questions to ask the people you encounter at the next show you go to. Then, when you see a model that catches your eye, contact us about how to get your hands on the RV of your dreams. We’re in Schererville, serving Indianapolis, as well as Champaign and Decatur, Illinois.
What to Ask the People at the Booths
Of course, one of the biggest reasons to go to these shows is to see the latest offers from some of your favorite manufacturers! You can also connect with dealers, parts distributors, and more. So when you walk up to one of these booths, here are some questions you can ask the RV experts:
What Are Your Company’s Exciting New Updates?
If you’re at an RV show, there’s a good chance the people selling RVs are showcasing some specific upgrades. Maybe they’re packed all their RVs with a new and improved feature. Maybe there’s a brand new model. The sellers are probably all set to flaunt these new upgrades, so ask them about it! They
What Deals Are You Offering?
RV shows are an important time for manufacturers and dealers. It’s a great way to connect with buyers and they’ll often roll out all the stops to get you to visit their booth. This includes special deals and pricing. We highly recommend you ask about these deals and compare them with the regular price tags and what other manufacturers are offering.
What to Ask Fellow RVers
Now’s also the time to talk to some fellow RVers! You can ask for tips, tricks, directions, travel ideas, camping stories, and who knows? Maybe you’ll make some lifelong friends.
Which Booths and Seminars Do You Recommend?
This can be particularly helpful if you’ve just arrived and there’s someone who’s been there for a while. Even if you have a game plan for the show, walking into that conference center can be intimidating. It’s easy to get turned around and sometimes the maps are a little hard to read. Ask some of the other attendees which booths they recommend and which seminars they’re most interested in. This can help you adjust your own schedule or give you some ideas.
What Do You Look for in a Perfect RV?
This is a great idea for both experienced RV buyers and first-timers. Of course, if you’re not really sure what you’re looking for, getting some tips from people who have been around the block a few times can be a big help, particularly when it comes to avoiding rookie mistakes. But if you’ve bought an RV a few times and don’t think you have anything left to learn, you might surprise yourself. Perhaps there’s a feature you didn’t realize was available to you that would actually improve your traveling experience. Asking other campers what parts of their RVs they love can help you fine-tune some of your own preferences.
When’s the Next RV Show?
That probably depends on where you live and how far you’re willing to drive. It’s safe to say somewhere out there, there’s always an RV show coming up. For us here in Indiana, the next big event is the Midwest RV Super Show & Sale, hosted in the RV capital of the world, Elkhart. Mark your calendars for August 13–16 to be part of this one-of-a-kind show.
Keep in mind, the country is experiencing an ongoing crisis that changes day by day. Before heading out to attend any show, make sure you’re healthy enough to do so and check the event website for cancellation notices or any safety procedures you’ll need to know about.
These are just a handful of questions, some of which you may already be prepared to ask. At the end of the day, the RV show is about showing you, the customer, a better RVing experience with the ultimate RVs. Write down questions as you think of them and then look for some of the upcoming RV shows near you. If you’re looking for an RV from your local RV dealer, contact Pete’s RV Center Indiana and we’ll help you find the perfect model for you. We welcome all those from Schererville and Indianapolis, as well as Champaign and Decatur, Illinois.
